How do we begin to describe our obsession with rugs? Does the fact that the rugs in our home's rooms are changed out monthly paint a good picture for y'all? Not really, but would we love to? YES! Even though we might not be buying new rugs every month, we are moving them around to different rooms to give each space a little refresh all the time.
So here's the thing about rugs: there's not a room in a home that doesn't look better without one - kitchen, bathroom, living room, entry, you name it. They add style, warmth, and pull a room together. When starting a new design project, we typically start with choosing the rug and build from there, since we use it as the centerpiece of the design. That's why we've put together a list of our top rug choices from our favorite stores to shop at that complete any farmhouse look!
Magnolia Market - Mocha Warming traditional rug. This one's for the Beige/Greige lovers out there who think the gray-everything style is just a phase - you might be right, who knows! Luckily Joanna Gaines still loves the color beige and has given us this gorgeous chocolate creation of a rug.
Loom and Kiln: One of a Kind Vintage accent rug. We've been getting a little more diversified with our designs and have been throwing red vintage rugs in fun spots around the home - in the entry, down a hallway, or layered on top of a jute run in the living room.
Joss & Main: Geometric Neutral for the eclectic styles out there. This neutral has been perfect for the people who like the rustic style but have more contemporary taste. Use it in a white room with pops of gold and you've got yourself a warm, modern living space.
Pottery Barn: Simple Blue Rug, the perfect not-so-neutral neutral rug color to add to a design. If you didn't know already, the newest home decor neutral is blue! So when you want to add color, but color scares you a bit, just add blue - it's colorfully tame.
Wayfair: Classic Jute rug. Don't buy the uber expensive ones when you can find the perfect stylish & durable hand-woven rug at Wayfair - who doesn't love a deal and free shipping?
Lulu & Georgia: Deep Romantic Red Rug for the perfect pop of color. It may seem adventurous to add a deep red rug to a space, but if you have all neutral furnishings and darker wood floors, it adds the perfect buffer between all the neutrals.
Target: the Suprizing Target-Find Rug that works in every room. When in doubt, shop target - they've got secret awesome style finds that aren't so popular that you find them everywhere.
