Our heads are still spinning from the incredible The Vintage Round Top Business, Branding & Social Media workshop we attended in September! We feel so blessed to have been able to join the workshop, it was truly inspirational and we’ve needed a week or two to process everything we learned. Paige and Smoot Hull, owners of The Vintage Round Top, were our hosts and they gave us chills when speaking about how great things happen in their space called No. 1450. They believe that divine moments have occurred in their beautiful building and we couldn’t agree more. God made His presence so known to us, not just in getting to meet fabulous entrepreneurs, but also in how He has inspired us to make big changes to Southern Farmhouse Designs in the upcoming months.
The all-day workshop was led by Paige and Smoot. If you’re looking for a weekend getaway, you must check out The Vintage Round Top! They have overnight accommodations and are currently building the “cozy cottages” that we were drooling over! They also host a variety of events and workshops throughout the year. Learn more about The Vintage Round Top here! We were definitely fan-girling over the two workshop guests: Alyssa Rosenheck and Shea McGee! Both women spoke so profoundly and with such grace, passion and kindness! Alyssa Rosenheck is an outstanding professional photographer with such an awesome desire to inspire and encourage others—please look her up if you’re not familiar with her! Her movement “The New Southern” is encouraging people across the world to find inspiration in the South and make it their own through whatever their trade, job, belief or upbringing is. Shea McGee is owner and founder of Studio McGee and McGee & Co. with her husband Syd. Saying the McGee’s have been an inspiration to us the last few years is an understatement. Shea had such insight into the world of interior design and starting your own business from the ground up.
We could go on and on about all the amazing people we met and how cool it was to soak up every word that Alyssa and Shea said! But what we really want to share is how they inspired us to take the steps we’d been fearful to take and to make changes we’ve been hesitant about making. We can’t share all our surprises with you yet! We’re sharing our biggest surprise ever next Wednesday on the blog and on our social pages. We’re beyond grateful for each of you and we would not be here today if it weren’t for you & your families. Yesterday marked the 3rd birthday of Southern Farmhouse Designs and we’re in awe of how fast time has flown by and how this business has grown so much in this short time! It’s a special, special thing to be able to enter people’s homes in the form of design & we do not take our roles lightly. It is a true honor.
Have a blessed week friends!
