It is with a grateful heart that I welcome you to Southern Farmhouse Designs. This business was born after buying and remodeling our second home in Tomball, Texas. The joy and love that came with designing a home for our family was indescribable. After a lot of prayers and a big push from my sweet husband and best friends, I took a leap of faith and started Southern Farmhouse Designs.
I consider it a true honor to be able to create beautiful spaces for my clients and their families. As a wife, mom & business owner my work load changes through different season of life. I have worked with clients on new builds, remodels, as well as just refreshing their spaces. It has been such a privilege to work with every client and to help them turn their vision into a reality.
This is my space to create, curate, and collect. Creating a home is what sets my heart on fire. I've been designing spaces & collecting antiques for as long as I can remember. You can read little more about my story below.
I'm so thankful you stopped by. Pull up a chair & stay a while. Here we will talk about styling tips & tricks, renovations, inspiration & all things vintage.
I'll go pour a couple of glasses of sweet tea....
ASHLEY MOORE | OWNER
Hey yall! I’m Ashley. I’m married to Matt and the mom of Emma & Brady. We have a little piece of Texas that we call home just outside of Houston, Texas.
After graduating for Texas A&M in 2006 I moved to Houston to pursue my teaching career. I taught middle school and dance for five years, then retired to become a mom.
My love for design started at a young age. I remember moving furniture around in my room & spending my summers redecorating it for the following school year (bless my momma’s heart). I feel that my passion for creating well loved, well lived in spaces came from my momma. Our home growing up was always the place to be for all of my friends. After having a family of my own, I always hoped to create a home that felt that same way. The kind of place where you walk in and immediately feel like you are family. A place that isn’t too stuffy. A place where you can kick your feet up on the coffee table and not worry about making a mess. My home is beautiful, but it’s messy. We live here & with two young kids running around, I’d drive myself crazy trying to have it picture perfect all the time, nor do I want it to be. It’s my kind of perfect–toys in the family room, smudges on the fridge, sticky handprints on our kitchen island, & dirty, scuffed up wood floors. We share life here and I’m thankful.
I truly believe that God designed homes to be a place of gathering, conversations, messes, laughter & lots of love among family & friends. I hope to inspire others to create intentional spaces that are beautiful and well loved–not Pinterest perfect. Places where family & friends are always welcome and life is shared.
